Green Fee AmendmentBefore public schools in the state of Florida can start collecting green fees, the Florida statue 1009.24 must be amended to include new language. Our current efforts are to pass an amendment through the legislative session and give schools the ability to decide for themselves. Current Efforts in the legislatureCoalition members intensely lobbied in Tallahassee this Spring to pass the bills that contained the Green Fee amendments. Senate Bill 1996, sponsored by strong ally Senator Lee Constantine, flew through the first two committees before stalling out in the Higher Education Appopriations Committee You can find the bill online at the Senate website.
